ANGER AND LOVE

Anger seeks revenge
Love seeks healing

Anger spouts lies
Love speaks truth

Anger shouts loud
Love whispers softly

Anger rips at the soul
Love saves the soul

Anger causes others pain
Love causes others joy

Anger lays down the law
Love breaks down strongholds

Anger is senseless in its methods
Love strives to make sense
of a senseless world

Anger echoes carelessness
Love reflects from a caring heart

Anger solves problems only in the mind
Love works wonders in heart, body,
and soul

Anger ruins the world
Love saves the day

Anger darkens the spirit
Love brightens the world.

Igorota Wins Best Actress Award in the 2018 ToFarm Film Festival

Maribeth "Mai" Fanglayan, from Mt. Province and a Baguio Girl, a graduate of Mass Communication in Saint Louis University, bagged the Best Actress award in the recently concluded 2018 ToFarm Film Festival awarding ceremony for her role in the Sinai Hamada's "Tanabata's Wife". She bested veteran actress Katrina Halili in "Mga Anak Ng Kamote" and Pokwang in "Sol Searching" in the category. Fanglayan is also being nominated as Best Actress in the 2019 Gawad Urian.

According to Fanglayan, she only accompanied a friend to audition for the role, but with a turn of event the role was given to her which she accepted as a challenging endeavor considering that she did not play a role in a full-length film before.

The film, actually, bagged 9 awards which include Miyuki Kamimura winning Best Actor; Best Directors for Charlson Ong, Lito Casaje and Choy Pangilinan; Best Screenplay for Charlson Ong; Best Production Design for Martin Masadao; Best Musical Score for May-i Padilla, Kurt Alalag and Marc Tan; Best Editing for May-i Padilla; Best Cinematography for Nap Jamir and Best Film.

The movie was filmed in Buguias, Benguet and used Japanese, Kankanaey and Ilocano languages.

First blows on citrus morning

I was sitting on a stone at the top of the hill with a warm cup of calamansi juice, watching the dawn slowly fading orange haze, revealing the turquoise sky..and it was January morning.

January, the opening month of the year, still bringing back the past experiences of the year en passé, and rather more like a nestling with a question uphead and plans ahead as if years have suspension of time at their ends, and that all seem to have reset. January is cool throughout the southeast Asia tropic where the winds from the white snow capped Siberian mountains would blow down through…and through the screening intricacies of the Cordilleran pine needles these winds would eventually imparted into the land, culture and minds of the Cordilleran people as these unseen migrating birds gently pass through the cordilleran mountains, rivers, hills and vales and then to the households, coffee shops and the local minutia to greet and bring wonder to everyone and all who with refreshed deep-throat murmurs exclaim the endemic “ayeh! naglammin.”  :D

Just after the peace and rush of the yuletide season the excitement in January is felt and yet not really different from the past times for the tradition has already set this time as starting line for whatever things are needed to commence or be rebooted in order to get in-sync with the beginning of another cycle of the seasons. As early as this, we are already given the cool and refreshing blows of winds probably to give us a clearer thought so that we can figure out how to leave the bad and take the good in order to lighten our burdens as we are being prepared again to ride on the winds of another cycle of seasons of this new embarking year.

we are anons.

What is Anonymous?
Anonymous is not a group, it is not a person.
It is an idea. Specifically it is the idea, that all of us deserve FREEDOM..

Freedom of thought, of speech, of expression, of knowledge, of belief.

The Freedom to determine the course and destination of our own lives.

If you share this IDEA, THEN YOU ARE ANONYMOUS.

You have likely heard many things about Anonymous,
some of them are true and some of them are not:

We are not hackers.
We are not terrorists.
We are not violent.

We are citizens of the world who bear witness to tyranny,
oppression and censorship.

We are activists who seek to change the system and end the cycle of corruption.

We seek to create transparency in governments and all institutions of public service.

We resist those who seek to violate our rights as human beings.

As a collective of autonomous individuals however,

WE HAVE NO LEADERS (no leaders of anonymous) who dictate the methods of resistance.

Some of us are indeed hackers, who use our skills to make critical information available to the public.

Some of us organize protests and rallies.

Some of us volunteer our time to feed those who can’t feed themselves.

We are your neighbors, your friends, and your relatives.

We prepare your food, repair your appliances, write your books, compose your music, and create your technology.

We are your postal workers, barbers, store clerks and lawyers.

We are socialists, capitalists, we are secular and we are spiritual, WE ARE EVERYONE

and we are no one.

NONE OF US ARE AS POWERFUL AS ALL OF US.

United as One,

Divided by Zero.

WE ARE ANONYMOUS.
