The Cost Of Anger

When anger grips my heart and mind,
Clear thought begins to stray,
My cheeks flush hot, my voice runs wild—
With words I can't unsay.

No goodness flows from burning rage,
No wisdom, grace, or light,
Just choices I would take back now,
And guilt that haunts the night.

I look upon the paths I've walked,
Where fury led the way,
No joy was found, no peace was gained—
Just sorrow left to stay.

A Quiet Place for Dreams

Deep within your heart,
Hold a quiet, hidden space
Where dreams can softly wander,
Protected by gentle grace—
A haven free from fear and doubt,
Where hope can find its pace.

Oh, guard that sacred part,
A tender, secret glow,
Where even the smallest dreams
Have room to bloom and grow.

He Knows You by Starlight

Have you ever gazed above
To watch the stars ignite the night?
Have you tried to count their shimmer,
Or imagine their endless flight?
And in that quiet moment,
Felt small beneath their light?

Through wonder...

Have you ever pictured the hand
That placed each star with care,
That knows their names and numbers—
And knows you're standing there?
Looking up in awe and silence
At the vastness He designed,
While He sees your face,
Hears your thoughts,
And knows your heart and mind.

God loves you more than galaxies,
More than stars that fill the skies.
His love flows without measure,
A gift that never dies.
It wraps around your every breath,
Each joy, each tear, each strife—
A boundless grace that covers
Every moment of your life.

Unburied Grace

One day I dug a quiet hole
And tucked my pain away,
Hoping time would help me forget—
I hid it deep that day.

But sorrow doesn’t sleep for long,
It grew beneath the ground,
I tried to leave it far behind,
But still it clung around.

My joy had vanished from my soul,
My heart was bruised and torn,
Love felt like a distant dream,
And I was left forlorn.

Then standing by that buried grief,
I cried to God above,
“Are You there? They say You care—
They say You are Love.”

And suddenly, He came to me,
Wrapped me in His grace,
He held me close, wiped every tear—
No safer, kinder place.

I poured out all the pain I’d stored,
Unveiled my aching heart,
He listened to each broken word,
To every shattered part.

I reached into that hidden place,
Brushed off the dust and clay,
Placed my hurt in His strong hands—
And healing came that day.

He took the darkness from my soul,
And set my spirit free,
New life began to bloom and rise
Where pain had used to be.

Now when I see what love has grown
From sorrow’s heavy rain,
I give my hurts to Him each day—
And never hide them again.

Toward the Quiet Horizon

A bit more weary as the day winds down,
A touch less eager to wear the crown,
Less inclined to fault or shame,
More gentle when we speak a name.
And so we near the journey’s close,
Where time and timelessness interpose.

A little less drawn to wealth and gain,
More passion for the past remains;
A wiser heart, a clearer view,
More kindness shown to those we knew.
And so we walk the fading light
Toward the dawn beyond the night.

A deeper love for youthful friends,
More fervor for truths that never bend,
More grace in how we see and speak,
Less hunger for the news we seek.
And so we pack our tents with care,
And slip away through evening air.

More moments spent in quiet thought,
More faith in things that can't be bought,
Closer now to those ahead,
Whose names we whisper, long since dead.
And so we go where all must tread—
To realms unknown by those not led.

A few more smiles, a few more tears,
And we have marked our growing years.
The book is shut, the prayers are done,
We join the ranks of those long gone.
Yet blessed are we if one can say,
“I walk this path because they lit the way.”

He Knows What We Need

Our Father sees what’s best for us,
So why should we complain?
Though we long for endless sunshine,
He knows we need the rain.

We cherish joyful laughter,
The warmth of happy days,
But tears refine our spirit
In quiet, tender ways.

He often sends us trials—
Not to wound or bring despair,
But to shape us for tomorrow
With loving, patient care.

Like trees that grow through tempests,
Or stone beneath the blade,
Our souls gain strength and beauty
By storms and cuts well-made.

God never brings us sorrow
Without a deeper plan;
Each loss becomes a blessing
In the workings of His hand.

When we reflect on mercies
He’s poured out from above,
We’ll find no room for grumbling—
Just gratitude and love.

For He adores His children,
And sees beyond our view;
He won’t give fleeting pleasures
When pain will make us new.

So when life feels uncertain,
And trials linger long,
It’s simply God within us,
Making our spirit strong.

The Solitude of Sorrow

Joy spreads like a spark that ignites the air;
Sorrow walks in shadows, beyond repair.
For happy hearts are magnets wide—
Each soul its own weight must abide.

Laughter echoes through the mountains high;
Tears fall silent, lost in the sigh.
The world responds to joy's clear tone,
But sorrow's whispers are unknown.

Celebrate, and friends will gather fast;
Mourn, and they will wander past.
They seek the warmth of sunny days,
Not the dark clouds of sorrow's ways.

Smile, and faces light up all around;
Frown, and the crowd will fade to ground.
They'll raise their glasses to your cheer,
But won't be there to wipe away your tear.

Feast, and your halls will echo delight;
Fast, and the rooms will empty in the night.
Win and share, and life will feel complete—
But loss will find its own retreat.

Joy's grand hall overflows with glee;
Pain's narrow path is walked alone, you see.
Each soul in its own private strife,
With no crowd to share the weight of life.

The Journey to Forgiveness

Forgiving was a mountain—
For those who wounded me deep,
Who twisted truth and tried to steal
The song I fought to keep.

They cast their shame upon me,
Sorrow soaked my soul,
I shattered under pressure,
No longer brave or whole.

My worth felt like nothing,
A heart dragged through the dirt,
I crumbled under judgment,
Confused, betrayed, and hurt.

Then came the gentle Savior,
So humble in His stride,
Not clothed in worldly glory,
But Heaven’s love inside.

No riches marked His presence,
No fame adorned His name,
His only aim: to please the One
From whom all goodness came.

I gave Him all my brokenness,
He offered peace divine,
No longer bound by cruelty,
Or fear of humankind.

I asked Him for forgiveness,
Then passed it on with grace
To those who bore their burdens
Of sin and dark disgrace.

And as I gave that mercy,
A healing light broke through—
My soul stood tall with honor,
My heart was made anew.

Now I seek one voice alone:
Is God pleased with me?
For only He is worthy
To shape who I should be.

Faith Through the Storm

At times, life’s trials weigh us down,
The bitter mixed with sweet,
We brave the tempests all around,
Yet struggle not to retreat.

We chase the dreams the world defines,
And lean on fleeting things,
But hopes built on unstable ground
Are shaken by what life brings.

Yet when we place our trust in God,
Our footing stands secure,
No storm can break the ones He holds—
His love will still endure.

With faith, we weather every gale,
His grace will be our guide,
A lighthouse shining from above,
With mercy as our tide.

So come what may—through dark or light,
Through sorrow, joy, or strife—
He’ll lead us home with steady hand,
If we walk within His light.

Never Stop

Never hold back your feelings—
If joy finds you, embrace it.
If sorrow lingers, face it.

Never fear the effort
To mend what’s broken—
You may be amazed by what unfolds.

Never carry the world alone.
Don’t let tomorrow shake you—
Take each day as it comes.

Never dwell in guilt—
The past is past.
Learn, grow, and move forward.

Never think you’re truly alone—
There’s always someone
Willing to listen, ready to care.

Never forget your power—
So much is within reach.
It’s easier than you think.

Never stop loving.
Never stop believing.
Never stop chasing your dreams.

Blueprint of Friendship

To build a box called friendship,
Sturdy, deep, and wide,
Begin with respect as the base—
Firmly set with pride.

Secure the corners carefully,
Where trust must tightly bind,
No room for lies or shadows—
Let honesty be aligned.

Its walls rise tall with purpose,
Four sides that stretch and grow,
The more you give, the more it holds—
A truth we’ve come to know.

Now fill it full with kindness,
With honor, grace, and care,
Add empathy and vision—
Dreams you're proud to share.

Pour in joy and laughter,
Let love rise to the brim,
These treasures sit atop it all,
A light that will not dim.

But leave the lid wide open,
So others glimpse inside,
And learn what makes a bond endure—
A friendship built with pride.

The Field of Life

We cannot reap the golden grain
Without first sowing through the rain,
Nor gather joy from earth’s embrace
Without our tears to mark the place.

This world is not as it may seem—
A fleeting thought, a distant dream.
Its yield depends on how we strive:
A bed of thorns, or blooms alive.

Pause and Pray

Deadlines loom, the clock runs fast,
No moment left to spare.
But in the rush of daily life,
Always pause for prayer.

When home feels like a whirlwind,
And peace is hard to find,
Do your best, then rest in faith—
Keep prayer in mind.

When burdens feel too heavy,
And hope begins to fade,
Take a breath, release the weight—
Let prayer invade.

God sees the strain you're under,
He knows your every care.
He listens close and answers true—
Just say a prayer.

ANGER AND LOVE

Anger hungers for revenge,
While love yearns to mend and restore.

Anger distorts what’s true,
Love speaks with honesty at its core.

Anger shouts with fury,
Love whispers soft and low.

Anger shatters the soul,
Love helps it gently grow.

Anger strikes with violence,
Love lifts with quiet grace.

Anger builds dividing walls, Love carves out sacred space.

Anger leaps without thinking,
Love searches for meaning In chaos and confusion.

Anger is wild and rash,
Love is gentle, joyful fusion.

Anger lingers in the mind,
Love flows through heart and bone.

Anger splits the world apart,
Love makes us feel at home.

Anger dims the brightest flame,
Love lets the light be known.
